With the growing popularity of social media, companies are slowly releasing the advantages of using social media to connect with their customers. Many Fortune 100 companies are now creating accounts in social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter apart from accounts in YouTube.
Twitter is the most preferred social networking site amongst Fortune 100 companies with 65% of the companies having Twitter accounts. 54% have a Facebook fan page, while 50% have a YouTube channel. Only 33% of the companies maintained a corporate blog. Out of these four social media platforms, 79% use atleast one for marketing purposes, while only 20% use all four platforms.
